Terms of Service

01Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Approch (the app or the website), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of them, you must stop using the service.

02Eligibility

To use Approch, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the right, authority and capacity to enter into this agreement
• Use the service in line with all applicable laws

03User conduct

You agree that you will not:

• Create fake profiles or impersonate any person or entity
• Harass, bully, abuse or threaten other users
• Share inappropriate, offensive, hateful, discriminatory or explicit content
• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
• Spam other users or send unwanted or repetitive messages
• Share personal contact information too early or in unsafe ways
• Try to bypass, disable or interfere with safety and security features

04Zero tolerance for objectionable content

Approch has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This includes nudity or sexual content, hate speech, harassment, threats, scams and content involving minors.

• Every profile and chat can be reported, and any user can be blocked instantly
• Blocking someone removes them from your radar, pings, matches and chats
• We review reports within 24 hours and remove offending content
• Users who break these rules are banned from Approch

05Safety guidelines

Approch is designed to reduce pressure and keep things safe, but you are still responsible for your own safety. We strongly recommend:

• Meeting in public places for first meetings
• Letting a friend or family member know where you are going
• Keeping control of your own transport and belongings
• Trusting your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave
• Using the in-app block and report tools for suspicious or inappropriate behaviour

06Content ownership

You keep ownership of the content you post on Approch. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• Display your content within the app
• Share your content with other users as part of the service
• Store, copy and back up your content

You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to share it.

07Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these terms or our community rules
• Your behaviour creates risk or possible legal exposure for us or others
• You misuse or attempt to damage the service

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app. Your access then ends and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

08Limitation of liability

Approch is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the service will always be safe, secure, error-free or available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Approch and its owners are not liable for:

• User interactions, messages and meetings on or off the app
• User-generated content posted by others
• Service interruptions, technical issues or data loss
• Any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use

09Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page and may notify you in the app. Continuing to use Approch means you accept the updated terms.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, where Approch is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
